Ottawa, ON: A Flood of Audio

While we were passing through Ottawa, our friend Adam gave us the chance to flood Mark’s childhood rink at Brantwood Park.

Ryan’s own rink, Windsor Park, is just around the bend on the Rideau River. But if you listen to this raw audio adventure, you’ll hear just how different rinks can be and how disoriented you can get when you’re not on your home turf… even in your home city.

This nine-minute, barely-edited podcast is only an excerpt from the start of our two-hour night flooding session. You’ll just have to imagine how nuts we were sounding by the end.

Brantwood’s flooding team is composed entirely of volunteers. One of our upcoming columns will bring you the full story.
